.:The DVR Software

Through the DVR's software, the user can set preferences related to video quality, storage capacity, camera views and more on an individual camera basis. One can manage video functions through a variety of download, export and snapshot tools. This software offers those needing to check on remote locations the freedom to simply launch the software and connect to the DVR units they want to access. Another very distinct advantage to digital recording is the ease of locating events. No more fast forward and rewind. Just click on a day from the calendar, time and the camera number and you can instantly playback images.

Key Features

.:Digital Recording
Record the video from your surveillance cameras digitally onto high tech computer hard drives instead of analog VCR Tapes. Higher quality, quicker and easier access to archived video, and lower operational cost are just a few of the reasons why digital is quickly becoming the standard.

.:Simple Playback
Searching for video is as easy as clicking on the date you want to watch on a calendar and clicking play on the VCR type controls. Play the video forward, backwards, frame-by-frame, fast, slow, or you can even print or email images at the touch of a button.

.:Compression
Compressing the video is one of the biggest necessities of a digital video recording system so that it can store lots of video on small hard drives. The VisionDVR has 3 different compression methods, but the MPEG4+ allows you to store video for long periods of time at a very high quality.

.:Motion Detection
The VisionDVR software has the ability to detect motion and only record video when something is moving in the picture. This prevents hours of unnecessary recorded video and makes it much easier to watch archived video because you are only having to watch when there is activity.

.:PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) Control
Control any PTZ camera directly from the software with the easy to use directional and zoom buttons. Now you can move your PTZ cameras without the need for an external controller.

.:Backup
Backup of video is simple with clips broken down into 10minute increments. Just select the clips you want to backup and save them directly to the CDR or CDRW drive included with your VisionDVR. You can also create standard AVI files for viewing on any Windows computer.

.:Video Out
The VisionDVR also has a TV Out connection on the back of the system for sending the live video out to another location to be displayed on a composite monitor. This is perfect for watching the live video in another room, at the cash register, or having a monitor display the live video to customers or employees.

.:Voice Recording
One channel of audio can be recorded and played back simultaneously (in sync) with the video. Now you can hear what is happening along with being able to see what is happening. Please see applicable laws in your state and county.

.:Remote Monitoring
Watch the live video from anywhere in the world over the internet or your local network. In addition to being able to login and watch real time video, you can also search through the archived video and see what happened all from the remote software or Internet Explorer.

.:Password Protection / Security
The system can be completely protected so that every function requires a password before the user is allowed to use it. Keep employees out of the system while allowing other managers to search through archived video, and keep the setup screens protected so that only the manager or owner can access those features. Also setup separate user name and passwords for remote users.

.:Stability and Ease of Use
Unlike many other Digital Video Recorders the VisionDVR software is running on a Windows 2000 (or WinXP) platform which provides unsurpassed reliability, stability, and most of all it is easy to use because most people are familiar with the Windows interface.
